Uncovering the Culprits Behind Your Skin Irritation

You may wonder what’s causing your skin to itch, be rash, or feel irritated. Many factors can contribute to skin problems and solutions. It’s important to identify the underlying cause to treat it effectively.

One common trigger of skin rashes is an allergic reaction. This can happen when your body reacts to something you touch or eat. Examples include pollen, animal dander, or certain foods. Another common trigger is irritants like detergents, soaps, and cosmetics. They can strip your skin of its natural oils and cause dryness, itchiness, and redness.

Skin irritation can also stem from infections such as fungal, bacterial or viral infections. Autoimmune disorders like eczema and psoriasis may also lead to skin problems on the face or other parts of your body.

Each type of trigger can cause different symptoms such as hives, bumps, blisters, scaling or oozing. For instance, a poison ivy rash will produce redness and blisters in a linear pattern. It is thus important to not ignore common skin problems as they have a tendency to worsen over time and result in complications that are more difficult to treat.
