Why Poor Circulation Might Occur

There are several prominent causes of poor circulation. One of the most common causes is atherosclerosis, which occurs when the arteries become narrowed and hardened due to a buildup of plaque. This can restrict blood flow and lead to poor circulation. Other causes of poor circulation include diabetes, obesity, smoking, and certain medical conditions such as peripheral artery disease. Additionally, sitting or standing for long periods of time, especially in a position that restricts blood flow, can also contribute to poor circulation.
